Donating flowers for the altar is a wonderful way to honour the memory of a loved one or to make a public thanksgiving. The minimum cost to fill the brass vases is $100 ($50 per vase). The amount and type of flowers purchased will depend on the amount you wish to donate. Your donation amount will be added to your annual givings and included in your charitable tax receipt.
To donate flowers for the altar:
- Email the Parish Administrator, Lisa Tait, to schedule a date, or call 416-769-5686.
- Indicate the amount you wish to donate and if the flowers are given for a special purpose or in memory of a loved one.
- Make your donation by cash or cheque (indicating on the envelope that it is for altar flowers), or online, then choose Flowers for the Altar in the dropdown menu. You may also donate by e-transfer to treasurer@stolaves.ca. Please indicate in the notes field that the donation is for altar flowers.
- Our flower convener will purchase the flowers and arrange them on the altar.
- Please provide Lisa the dedication that you would like us to use. Unless otherwise instructed, your name and the dedication will be acknowledged in the announcements and weekly e-blast.
- The dedication follows this format: The flowers on the altar are given by [your name] to the Glory of God and [in loving memory of] or [in thanksgiving for] PERSON or OBJECT OF THANKS.
