All Ages Choir Day
Presented with the Toronto Diocesan Choir Camp

Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Singers of any age or voicing (SATB) who enjoy choral church music, are invited to join us at St. Olave’s for a FREE Choir Camp Music Day on Saturday May 2! This is an intergenerational event and families are most welcome.

Our day will feature choral singing workshops with our clinician Nicholas Nicolaidas. Nicholas is an award-winning conductor, professional tenor, and respected vocal pedagogue based in Toronto (see bio below). We will also enjoy some outdoor fellowship activities and a catered lunch. We will end our time together with a Service of Thanksgiving featuring choral music from our workshops.
There is no cost for this event, but pre-registration is required!
Itinerary
- 9-9:30 — Welcome , check-in , and your morning coffee!
- 9:45 — Vocal heath and techniques workshop with Nicholas Nicholaidis
- 11:15 — Outdoor fellowship activity
- 12-12:45 — Catered lunch & social time
- 1 — Exploring Choral Music: Anglican Chant, Traditional Repertoire and Spirituals with Nicholas Nicholaidis
- 2:30 — Afternoon snack break
- 3 — Exploring Choral Music continued
- 4 — Choral Service of Thanksgiving (friends and family welcome)

Meet our Clinician

Nicholas Nicolaidis is an award-winning conductor, professional tenor, and respected vocal pedagogue based in Toronto. He serves as Assistant Conductor of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and is the co-founder and musical director of the Trinity Bach Project, where he brings scholarly insight and vibrant musicianship to Bach’s choral works.
A graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand (BMus, Vocal Performance) with further studies in London, Nicholas is also a professional tenor with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and Elora Singers, frequently appearing in major choral repertoire including Bach’s Passions and the great oratorio works.
In addition to maintaining a thriving private voice studio, he teaches vocal health and technique at Royal St. George’s College and St. Michael’s Choir School. Known for his clarity, energy, and technical precision, Nicholas equips singers with the tools to perform with confidence, stylistic understanding, and expressive freedom.
