Seeking lead tenor

St. Olave’s Anglican Church (360 Windermere Avenue) seeks to appoint a Lead Tenor for this choral seaon, beginning November 7, 2024.

Our liturgical life is based on the 1962 Book of Common Prayer and our music programme supports this with sacred music, hymnody and choral repertoire drawn from the Renaissance to the present day. Responsibilities include Thursday evening choir rehearsals (7:30 to 9:00) and Sunday morning rehearsals and services (9:30 to about 12:00). The fee is $55 per call ($110 per week). Additional services throughout the year are also remunerated.

The ideal candidate will display:

  • Strong sight-reading and technical skills.
  • Experience performing at a high level in a scheduled liturgical context.
  • Good personal skills within a small ensemble environment.
  • An interest in the liturgical and musical traditions that underpin St. Olave’s.

Familiarity with Anglican worship is an asset.
