Servers & Readers

St. Olave’s Servers’ Guild assists the Rector during all services of worship. Servers carrying the processional cross (crucifer), carry torches (acolyte), ring the church bell, read the intercessions and lessons, and, in some cases, help administer Holy Communion. Being a server is an extremely rewarding way to live out the Gospel and to serve St. Olave’s community. To learn more about being a server, please contact the Rector, Rob Mitchell, at or 416-768-5686 ext. 1.

At most of our services, lessons are read by members of the congregation. If you enjoy bringing scripture to life and would like to volunteer, please email Janice Douglas at
